About the Role

The Assistant Program Manager works closely with the Program Manager in planning and executing events. The most notable event is the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival, which will take place Sept. 15 – 18, 2022. Unscripted is Twillingate’s digital arts festival, which was established in 2015. This festival works to extend Twillingate’s tourism season and provide visitors in the fall, as well as our local community, with a rich cultural experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Program Manager in managing various Grow Twillingate Inc. events

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the office

Help with event logistics

Attend project and community meetings

Help coordinate volunteers

Record keeping

Skills & Qualifications

Organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Strong written and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Solid time management

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Familiarity with Google Workspace is an asset

Able to work some evenings and on a flexible schedule when events require

A tertiary qualification in business, arts, or community development would be an advantage. A combination of relevant experience would also be considered.

- Creating unique Newfoundland and Labrador festivals and events for economic benefit to the Twillingate region and also engage in and provide cultural learning opportunities for the local community;
-Creating and supporting initiatives that preserve the cultural heritage of the Twillingate region in support of a growing tourism industry.

Its cornerstone project is the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival ( This Festival offers four days of digital creativity through interactive workshops and content creation, while adventuring on Twillingate Island and sharing and celebrating the best digital creativity of the week.
