About the Role

The Gallery Attendant will be responsible for greeting visitors of the exhibiton, answering general questions about the artists' works when necessary, and maintaing a friendly and welcoming space within the historic Orange Lodge. They will also be required to open and close the venue each day.


Signal Fire is a Digital Arts exhibition consisting of a series of outdoor art projections and a six-week-long indoor exhibition in the Orange Lodge in Twillingate. Grow Twillingate Inc. is seeking to hire a gallery attendant for the indoor exhibition.

The Gallery Attendant will greet people, answer general questions and talk to visitors about the various artworks by the featured artists within the exhibition. Training will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Open and/or close the Orange Lodge

  • Greet visitors as they enter and record the number of visitors

  • Answer general questions visitors may have about the Signal Fire project, artworks and artists. (training provided)

  • Other related duties as required


  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • A sincere and genuine interest in people of all ages.

  • Solid time management

  • Able to work some evenings and weekends and on a flexible schedule when events require

  • Willingness to learn about various aspects of digital art

  • An attitude of tolerance and respect for all people’s points of view.
